As Program Manager, you are responsible end-to-end for complex service programs within a high-tech aviation environment. You combine strategy, collaboration and operational insight to ensure performance, reliability and continuity.
The Program Management team, led by the Head of Programs, consists of several Program Managers responsible for Fokker, Dash 8, CRJ and Boeing 737NG programs, as well as various Repair Management programs. The team is part of the Component Services Business Unit and works closely with the Sales and Procurement teams. The Head of Programs acts as your manager and coach.
As Program Manager, you are responsible end-to-end for service programs within your assigned product/market combination (PMC), ensuring the right balance between service levels and capital requirements.
You work closely with Product Owners and Operational Leaders in managing one or more service programs, including ideation, project definition, execution, operational monitoring, continuous improvement and overall program management in line with best practices and industry standards. In addition, you work with Sales Managers to develop proposals based on our operational capabilities or short-term ambitions.
You work together with Supply Chain, Product Engineering and Engineering Services to prevent or resolve obsolescence and reliability issues. You also optimize the program’s inventory requirements and work with the Fulfillment team to reduce excess stock. In addition, you are involved in make-or-buy decisions for products and services, such as insourcing versus outsourcing and repair versus replacement.
Setting up, initiating and executing continuous improvement plans within your program(s);
Maintaining relationships with key customers to ensure that programs align with their needs;
Managing internal communication and collaboration to ensure clarity and efficiency;
Implementing best practices and consistent ways of working within program management;
Organizing and leading internal and external program reviews;
Ensuring accurate and up-to-date program documentation;
Coordinating risks, dependencies, issue resolution and escalations.
A bachelor’s degree in Aerospace or Supply Chain Engineering; a master’s degree is preferred;
At least 4 years of relevant work experience or an advanced degree in the field;
At least 2 years of experience in program management or key account management;
Strong analytical skills and an affinity with advanced analytical methods;
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Dutch and English;
Demonstrable experience in project management; IPMA certification is preferred;
Experience with Lean and Six Sigma; Green Belt certification is preferred;
Ability to work effectively in cross-functional and international teams.
