Product Engineer - Avionics & Instruments

As Product Engineer – Avionics & Instruments, you play a key role in strengthening and expanding the Component Maintenance (CMRO) capabilities. You develop new repair technologies and optimize existing processes within the avionics workshop.

As Product Engineer – Avionics & Instruments, you play a key role in strengthening and expanding our Component Maintenance (CMRO) capabilities. You are responsible for developing new repair technologies, test equipment and procedures, while continuously improving existing capabilities within the Avionics & Instruments workshop.

Together with an experienced team of Product Engineers, Certification Engineers and Product Owners, you use your technical curiosity and problem-solving skills to solve complex engineering challenges. Your work directly contributes to the reliability and performance of aircraft components worldwide.

In this role, you report to the Capability Development Lead and work closely on a daily basis with engineering teams, the repair shop and various product stakeholders to achieve operational excellence.

Key responsibilities

  • Developing new Avionics & Instruments repair capabilities and technologies.

  • Continuously improving existing capabilities according to lean principles.

  • Supporting new business requests from the Product Owner

  • Improving product reliability within the shop

  • Initiating cost savings and performance improvements

  • Analyzing technical data and improving product-level insights.

  • Maintaining existing capabilities from a technical perspective.

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Aviation Engineering or a related field.
  • Knowledge of electrical components and avionics systems.

  • Strong communication and organizational skills

  • Problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude

PRE

  • Experience in an aviation/MRO environment

  • Programming knowledge in Python and C++

  • Experience with MS Excel and Access

  • Knowledge of radio navigation systems
